Design to G-code
The Knowledge Engine reads the project. The cell cuts.
CAD, CAM strategy and machine constraints live in the same graph. Toolpaths are retrieved under engineering rights and streamed as G-code the cell can run — collision-checked, versioned, auditable.
A copilot may propose a path. A responsible engineer Confirms. That is industrial agency: the mill is a host of the core, not a gadget with a chatbot taped to the controller.
Supply chain
Stock crosses a line. The truck is already on the road.
Reorder is a typed signal: part, evidence, confidence, next step. The core prepares the purchase against the identity that owns the books. A person Confirms. Delivery is tracked to the same dock, the same lot, the same rights.
No dashboard “low stock” nobody owns. The plant orders; the dock confirms; the trail exports. Competitors wrapping an ERP cannot reconstruct eighteen months of that circuit.
Maintenance and downtime
When the spindle fails, the previous bus is still evidence.
A highlighted part, a stream of bits from before the incident, and the shortest restore path projected into an AR visor — attention with a spine, not another alarm wall.
The technician still Confirms the isolate-and-replace. The organisation keeps the knowledge instead of walking it out of the building at shift change.
Energy
Every cell running. Every kilowatt watched.
Detectors watch load, not only parts. Optimisation is a proposal with evidence: setpoints that take energy per part down without pretending a model is the plant manager.
Hybrid placement keeps planning and ingest close to the machines. Frontier language stays a policy choice. You change where thought happens — not the product.
Quality
Spec, measurement and lot in the same sentence.
CMM results, drawings and lot genealogy sit in permissioned memory. Similarity is not a right: a failed family does not leak into an answer the caller could not have opened in QMS.
Hold, release and concession are writes. They wait for Confirm. That is how quality stays a system of record instead of a PDF in someone’s inbox.
Planning
Demand, capacity and people as one keep-set.
Finite capacity is not a spreadsheet the planner defends in a meeting. The core retrieves live load, promised dates and cell constraints under the same rights as the schedule board — then proposes, never silently overbooks.
ATP, CAM queue and maintenance windows share an ontology. Change the host, keep the contract. That is why the technology compounds instead of restarting per plant.
